Userscript to blacklist members in the comments section
This is just a quick script I wrote because I was sick of all the annoying comments. This isn't really an ideal solution, but I think it helps a lot.

It just replaces any comments by blacklisted members with a single line noting that a comment was blacklisted (including the poster's name and the date). I think it makes it a lot easier to check for new comments.

The list of blacklisted members is at the top of the script. You'll have to manually add new ones to the list.

// ==UserScript==
// @name [Lolibooru] Comments: Blacklist Members
// @namespace Zolxys
// @include*
// @version 1
// @grant none
// ==/UserScript==
var list = [

var a = document.querySelectorAll('.comment');
for (let i = a.length; i;) {
let m = a[--i].querySelector('.author > h6 > a');
let s = m.textContent;
for (let li = list.length; li;)
if (s == list[--li]) {
let o = document.createElement('div'); = a[i].id + 'zol_BlacklistedMember';
let ne = document.createElement('span'); = '#F00';
ne.textContent = 'Blacklisted: ';
a[i].style.display = 'none';
a[i].parentNode.insertBefore(o, a[i]);
Sorry to bump a month old post, but some of the comments are really starting to get to me too. For the non-code savvy folk like me, is there an explanation somewhere on how we can use this script or is this thing totally beyond my grasp?
Basically, you need to install Tampermonkey or a similar add-on to your web browser.

When it is installed, an icon should appear on the top right-hand corner of the toolbar (at least it does for me in Firefox and Chrome). Click it and select "Create a new script.' A new tab should open up with a textbox. Paste the above script into the box and select File and then Save.
Worked a treat, thank you Zolxys and pornaddict1.

Now, if only the comments in the actual image posts could be hidden as well.

No one. He's addressing a deficit in the booru software. Are you seriously arguing that people should have to view your garbage comments?

This script will not affect your posting privileges, so there's no need to worry about it. Only the admins can stop you from doing that. The rest of us are just trying to mitigate what gets through our own screens. Live and let live, etc...

There's a metadata block at the top of that script where you will see the following line:
// @include*

That line causes the script to run on the comments page. But the script will also work on the post pages. To run it on those pages, just add the following line to the metadata block:
// @include*
Thank you again to Zolxys, for letting me know how to make it work on the posts themselves. I'm copypasting it here for the benefit of others.
